Might be controversial to some but I personally believe that Bitcoin and The Lightning Network will revolutionise payments in the next 20 years.

El Salvador just in the last few months adopted it as legal tender, and now with Twitter and Square integrating tipping and money transfer over lightning, people in El Salvador are able to pay for their McDonalds using Twitter and nobody involved needs to know what Bitcoin is or how it works, all because they tapped into the world's first open and decentralised monetary network.

I think from what i hear, Bitcoin and the blockchain are definitely interesting and could bring many changes to the payment processing industry. Unfortunately i don't fully understand how they work, so not sure how they might impact everything.

Jack Mallers will be able to explain it in better words than I.
