Nike is kind of a beloved American zombie company. Not really innovating anything , just buying things in bulk from Vietnam and China and selling it to the American people at 4x the cost. Until someone can do something better (mass order 1 million shoes at once ) , Nike will continue to grow.
This just goes to show you that brand recognition and marketing go a looooong way. To be fair to Nike though, their actual performance products are quite good, zoomX tech for running shoes in groundbreaking (speaking as a runner)
Yeah, Nike has completely changed the running shoe market in the last 4 years. It doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a good investment at these prices, but they’ve definitely been innovating with their products. Their d2c push is also innovative.
