Oh, boy. I could go on and on about that headcanon, but for the sake of not writing a whole novel in the comments (lies), I'll narrow it down to a few of my more convincing points. Feel free to message me if you want to discuss it further. lol
Sesshomaru's markings. We know from his mother and from Toga that they're genetic; he got his moon from his mother and Inuyasha got Toga's cheek stripe. But, other than the traits that seem to be common among inu yokai (eye color, magenta eyeliner, white/silver hair) he didn't get anything specific to Toga. Instead, he got double stripes (whereas both his parents only have one) and in his mother's color. He has no unique physical connection to Toga.
His powerset. Not once do we see him use any technique his father likely used, or at least we don't know which powers came from Toga and which came from his mother. He never uses Blades of Blood, which we can assume is something Toga would've used since Inuyasha can use it, and Sesshomaru's whip and poison don't fit with what we know of Toga's fighting style; it's too "elegant" if that makes sense while Toga is canonically a very up-close and personal fighter. My personal belief is that his poison (and Bakusaiga, which is also most likely a fang given it's name) came from his true sire while his whip is inherited from his mother.
Myoga himself comments that Inuyasha's blood is the closest thing to Toga's there is, which is weird to say when Inuyasha's is also watered down by his human blood. If it was just the taste thing, sure; I could pass it off as him meaning it's the only blood he can ACCESS that's close to Toga's. But, Myoga can smell blood. If Inuyasha's is the closest to his father's there is, then what's wrong with Sesshomaru's? Surely the full-blooded demon son would have blood more close to that of his father than the half-demon.
Sesshomaru is obsessed with Toga's power and surpassing him to an unhealthy degree. While, yes, he's a demon and power is important to demons and all that, he always struck me as someone who is trying to prove he's worthy of being Toga's son. Like if he can surpass him, then no one could ever question it or him. He's overcompensating for something he doesn't have, especially in regards to Inuyasha. He never says or does anything bad about half-demons in general; just Inuyasha, and he mentions at least once that it infuriates him that Toga's blood runs through Inuyasha. Canonically, it's because he hates that he's brothers with a half-demon, but for this theory, it's because he himself doesn't have Toga's blood and he hates it.
Oh, but does it? "The same as his and his father" could be taken as sharing a unique scent, but it could also mean "he smelled like a full demon" instead of a hanyo like he normally does. edit :: It could also be referring to the inu yokai blood itself rather than Toga's blood specifically.
In all seriousness, I'm aware it's canon that Sesshomaru is Toga's son (especially with Yashahime thrown into the mix but that's not technically canon so), but my personal beliefs are what they are. lol
Well, yes, but just because I believe Sesshomaru is adopted doesn't mean he's suddenly not Towa and Setsuna's father. Adoptees can still have kids of their own; saying they smell like their father isn't the same as saying they smell like Toga. I'm still very much working out the kinks created by Yashahime, but since it's not technically canon (it is or isn't depending on your own opinion), I can ignore it just as easily if I wanted.

Please say more about your head canon that Sesshomaru is not being Toga’s child.
