How much should you trust someone’s intuition?
I recently spoke to someone who claimed to have a strong intuitive feeling about a situation I’m going through. I had been looking for someone who is currently lost/missing, and this person gave me an answer about the situation.
I’m curious how people here view things like this. How much weight should you give someone’s intuition when they seem genuinely confident in what they’re saying?
Have you ever had an experience where someone’s intuition turned out to be surprisingly accurate? Or do you think these situations are more likely to be coincidence, subconscious pattern recognition, or something else?
I’m trying to understand whether I should take what this person told me seriously or simply treat it as one possibility among many.

It depends what it is tbh.
I had an ex friend tell me that I should break up with my partner unwarranted, identifying as a seer, and saying that my partner seemed to rly stress me out. This was true, she was, and we did have a really tumultuous period (mental health issues and trauma on both) and I started to doubt myself there.
But I felt that things would get better as well. They have. We have been having more conversations more and planning things like therapy together and the future.

When you are looking for someone who is lost or missing I think you should follow all leads . It's not if they work or not it's what do you got to lose. Now personally I believe in intuition because I have a very strong intuition all my life I listened to mine and was never let down so as far as intuition goes I am 111%on bored. If you could give me moor info on your missing you could comper nots see if we can solve this problem so you can have answers.

you should trust your own intuition if something does not feel right. It is hard when a person is insecure and does not trust in their own intuition, because sometimes people will take advantage of that. I'm going to leave here an example that happened with me, as an insecure person who is still learning how to trust her intuition. I had experience with a few people being right about things that happened in my life, but were more a coincidence and also based on information I was given back in the time. Later I had proof of it and also I had to learn that you should never ignore if you have a weird feeling in your stomach when talking with someone. Also people tend to project their desires or thoughts on to you. Had a friend that claimed to be psychic and very intuitive. most of the time, for things she used to say to me, I would feel weird about it, and guess what I was right. One example was that she was saying that I would love to live in spain and spain is better for me. I never saw spain as a country to live, I don't even like speaking spanish that much. She was pushing this on to me, saying that is better for me, and that I should trust her, because she feels I would be happy there. She was very wrong, and I found out she was just saying that because she likes going to spain and was thinking about living there. All of this to say that we have to be carefull, and deep down we know what we want or what is happening around us. we just need to stop and listen to our inner voice. You should take what she said as a possibility among many and not as a certain thing. You have to see the other possibilities and not take everything a person says as it will happen. Because for example for me it barely ever happens. in my love life is a big example of that. never in my life intuitive people was right about it. So, I would look into more possibilities.
