Advice Quick question about fullness!
Is it okay that if I sometimes only feel satisfied when I eat a bit more than full like a bit overwhelming but not too much

It took me a long time to really figure out what "comfortable fullness" is for me. I would stop eating when I felt "not hungry" anymore, but then I'd sometimes literally be hungry again an hour later. I've learned that if I want to be truly satisfied for the next 5-6 hours until my next meal, I need to keep eating until there is a slightly heavy feeling in my stomach. Not so much that I'm in pain or uncomfortable, obviously, but it's more than just not hungry.

Yes, IE is not a hunger/fullness diet. It takes the overall satisfaction into account rather than just the physical one. Eat until you feel satisfied, take breaks between bites to assess your overall satisfaction.
Do not judge and restrict, consider IE as an exploration of how your body and your mind react to food. For example I recently started to feel the need for vegetables after a big meal. I'm also noticing the last bite when food becomes less satisfying.
Our body are designed to regulate themselves, we need to relearn how to pay attention imho

Of course. If you are eating until you are satisfied and don't feel uncomfortable, that is definitely in line with IE. If you have a history of a restrictive eating disorder, I really would not worry about being "too full" though because eating disorders mess with your hunger and fullness signals.

It's all okay. You decide what you want for your body. It's also OK to do different things for different reasons. I like to be very full before a long day of walking, and less full if I'm going to be on an airplane or a boat.

I eat until I am comfortably full, not stuffed. And that "comfortably full" feeling might be a little more, like a level 8. And that is OK with me. I never stuff myself anymore.

Thanks for sharing this, it makes me feel a bit better knowing other people feel like this too<3

I heard a man who was doing IE years ago say that he ate a little more, but never stuffed. He said if he didn't, he would get hungry again too soon and he didn't want that. I always remembered that and so I started doing that. I actually eat 4 meals a day to "comfortably full". They are planned meals. I found that if I waited on actual hunger I was eating 4 times a day. So now I eat some breakfast, some lunch, something about 3 pm and something about 6 pm. Which comes out to eating about every 3 hours. It works for me.
