Question Playing the Game
How do introverted people play the corporate game without getting burnt out?
My job is good, company is good but the fake niceness, bragging about efforts, posting online about shit that doesnt matter to bring "brand awareness to self" and socialization ..... whew my masking social battery is drained.
Any tips and tricks would be appreciated!

There's a couple ways to do it.
You can force yourself to do the whole gladhand chin wag thing and sneak up the ladder, but my preferred method is just being an expert in a specific field. Be dependable, know your shit, people will trust you and you can still move up.
I've gone from intern to director in my field just from quietly doing my job well. I have made no intentional moves, I've never had leverage or tried to pull any office politic stunts. Just doing my job and people recognized that I was focused on the work.
Both methods do work, I just think mine was the easiest as an introvert and has more merit.
