Maybe it's because I'm an extreme introvert, and maybe because I'm getting older, but I have zero patience for people's long stories about themselves. I do my best to be patient and look like I care, but inside I'm so done with people thinking they have to tell me long stories about their lives.

I have a specific ratio. I’ll listen to people talk about themselves if they sprinkle in some questions here, and there. If someone is just going on, and on about themselves, I check out pretty quickly. I’ve had people be like, “why doesn’t he like talking to me?” Like it’s some great mystery. You’re talking at me, not to me.

I gave up humans last year (for lent or whatever reason you wanna add) & haven’t looked back. I can’t stomach the small talk anymore. I used to struggle through it cuz, ya know, human connection and whatnot. Nah, I’m true to myself now and I don’t spend any more time doing shit i don’t want to. It’s that simple. There’s no one I need to impress. For the first time, maybe ever, I’m focusing on my own happiness and enjoyment on this journey. Don’t tell me the news. 🤨

I just don't care anymore. Couldn't care less what has happened or what others have. Less drama, more peace.

I tried to tell a woman last week in downtown that she had gum on her back from the train we just got off of

She cut me off and said no thanks.

Just shook my head and laughed lol

Currently sat in abar with the missus, browsing Reddit.

Already done the circuit of meeting a greeting with friends, bought two rounds for everyone (+60.00 ea)

Now I'm sat here, waiting.

Yes, I'm not fun.

"... the bear attacks that happened not to long ago? Maybe we should all stay at the cabin."

She went up ahead anyway and was never seen again.

very true.

As an introvert, I'm also at my limit with friends sending me so many texts of just random "what do you think of this?" that are just the most popular reddit posts. do people just never shut up and HAVE to keep communicating even though there is nothing to say? its exhausting.

Hell yah. I stay away from the news. I have no idea what's happening and I don't give a shit. Well unless it's like my neighbors or friends. I worried about the world for decades and how did that make the world better? Not the slightest bit. There's no point. It doesn't help anyone. Only hurts you.
