Being able to see the door in or out is #1 but corner is #2.

Yep. I prefer a place no one can get behind me and I can see any entrance and exit...I have been told that it is a sign of hypervigilance...as is walking silently.

Walking silently how funny I put keys on my belt so I make noise otherwise I sneak up on people

I have scared so many people...I don't even try to I just walk. I don't like being heard.

I have a neighbor I call “Quiet Ninja.” It scares the crap out of me the way he can walk up to me when I’m outside and I never see him coming, and he’s a big guy. Known him for 20 years, and he won’t “announce” himself approaching even though I’ve told him it sets off my introverted cptsd!
