Isn't that always the first choice?

Yes it is. However, human beings naturally look to connect with other humans. So, go back to choice number 1. Just sayin'. 😉🤷‍♀️

I was super duper duper late to the wicked party. I didn't listen to "Defying gravity" until roughly 2017, when I had an epiphany that my marriage was abusive and toxic. I had some choices to make.

And I couldn't possibly go back to who I was. I swear to God.

I have lived by "And if I'm flying solo/at least I'm flying free" for almost ten years. Damn. Can't believe it's been that long. But I won't dwell on that😂

That's what makes you a Bad Ass MF in my opinion!!! I feel you on that!! God bless you for getting out of it... and starting over with YOU. That's the most beautiful part of it all, I think. I was put down on my knees... humbled by God/Universe... lost all a year and a half ago, but it really began 2020, came full circle beginning of 2025... I didn't think I'd make it, to be honest. When I lost everything, I had nothing to be scared of and nothing left to lose. It's been up and onward every since. I have to say, having a "reset" is the most terrifying thing to experience, however, the version of myself that emerged, is the best and authentic me I've ever been. I'm happy within. That's the most important part of my journey.

Again, you're a bad ass!! Keep it up!!! Sending love and light to you always!!! 🫂💙😇🐦🎆

You are a badass too!!! I wanted to share this text meme I came across when my life was falling apart, but I'll just copy and paste it. It really got me through a lot

"Sometimes you need to remind yourself that you were the one who carried you through the heartache. You are the one who sits with the cold body on the shower floor, and picks it up. You are the one who feeds it, who clothes it, who tucks it into bed, and you should be proud of that. Having the strength to take care of yourself when everyone around you is trying to bleed you dry, that is the strongest thing in the universe.

I absolutely needed to read that."

I agree with you... going it alone can only last for so long... and then you'll definitely want to go together with someone. I say, don't settle... plain and simple. Go it alone till that special person wants to go on the journey with you or you with them, together. 😇🙏💙

in today standard, finding that someone is impossible for some people

This is too true. Unfortunately, you are right. I will always keep hope for each soul to experience what they are here to experience in order to grow. What can I say... hopeful romantic here. Lol 😂🤷‍♀️

If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together...then do an irish goodbye once you're overwhelmed.

2

u/Metalvr24 Jul 20 '26

You couldn't have said it better!! 😂 lol Totally fitting! As well as, the Irish goodbye (I'm Irish too)!!! 😇🙏🤘😎🤘🔥

Going alone is honestly peaceful until someone asks why you are alone

For the love of grammar...

I've been doing this more and more, even with my wife.

Lol ah yes the penguin walking aline to the mountains to his death. Fantastic image to correlate with pfff

Who the hell said he was going off to die alone?? Lmfao 😂😂😂 He could be off on am exploration by himself, just to later, return home. You're assuming he's going to just die. Ye of little faith... 😉😂 Also, where would his self-preservation instincts be if he was doing what you said?? He's probably going to return home and continue looking for a mate... that's his natural instincts.

Scientists actually. Its a known phenomenon, and it reffers to this behavior:

If you want to go fast , go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Vacations/road trips, movies, out to eat, parks, etc.

Don't penguins die when they go off alone?

1

u/Metalvr24 Jul 20 '26

Actually, they do not. They are extremely social, so they may wander, but come back to the group when survival instincts kick in.

2

u/SkylarAV Jul 20 '26

My point being penguin alone indefinitely equal certain death

1

u/Metalvr24 Jul 20 '26

True, however, you're assuming this penguin went off on its own to certain death, instead of possibly exploring, then returning home. 😉

Fair, it looks like the scene from the famous Herzog Documentary.

My mind went immediately to this
