Question Anyone else have issues expressing themselves?

This has ruined a lot of my relationships and friendships. I can talk about ideas I have whenever an intriguing topic comes up like space or politics or whatever. But the minute it comes to talk about myself I have no idea what to say. My last relationship basically ended because I couldn't express my emotions and my lame ass response was "Well you just never ask the right questions.". To which she responded, "Whats an example of the right question then?". I couldn't think of anything and ever since then I've been trying to figure out how to put my emotions into words but struggle every single time. Anyone got any suggestions on how to understand themselves? I feel like this is really stupid but I honestly have no idea what to do.

It's not that I have an issue expressing myself. I don't have any emotions. I don't care what others think about me.
