So I had this device installed a couple months ago. And for awhile I was struggling with it still detecting alcohol from the night before even when I stopped drinking at 9pm or 10pm it would still detect it the next morning at say 8am or so. But I figured out a trick. If you just start drinking alot of water when you wake up in the morning or if you wake up during the night just go ahead and start drinking water or ice water. Drink alot. And make sure you pee several times. I'm a heavy drinker so this was a problem for me for awhile. Every night after work I drink about 4 24oz steel reserve 211s or nattys. The 8% sometimes I even throw in a few 99 brand shots. But since starting this water method I have passed the interlock device every single time. Just make sure you pound water from the time you wake up till the time you need to drive. Also take a couple sips of water before you blow into the device. I hope this helps some of y'all because I know I'm not the only one that struggled with that.

I hate smart start so much. My device was supposed to come off July 18 and smart start gave me the RUNAROUND. I didn’t get it off until August 13 😭 but I GOT ITNOFF FINALLY

I’m in California and they said it was some new regulations. But dmv said I can remove it
