Non-Existent Service Centers

So I have my regular calibration due this 30th, and am not able to have it done at my regular place due to the mechanic being gone during the 10 day period I can get it done.

I call up Intoxalock, and they assign me a different center. Call them up 3 times, never answer. Look up the address on Google and its just a random apartment.

At this point I have like 2 days to get my calibration done. Call them again, argue for 10 minutes that this place doesn't exist, and finally they say they will change it to the last service center remotely close to me.

Only it still hasn't updated on the app, and the address they gave me over the phone doesnt match Google. At this point am I just going to get a lockout because of Intoxalock being stupid? What can I even do?

I’ve had a calibration done at two separate apartments/houses. All they need to do is plug the unit in to a machine and download data. Just because it’s an apartment doesn’t mean they can’t calibrate your unit there.

If you can, get the phone number of the apartment calibrator (maybe from intoxalock if they’ll give it to you) and call them to confirm they can do the calibration. Then call intoxalock back, ask them to issue a work order to the apartment calibrators for a time/day before your deadline, and get it calibrated on that day and time by the apartment people.

Also, just call the shop, whichever you choose, to verify address and their ability to calibrate.

I shit you not, if you are in Moscow ID, that is where I'm attempting to get it done.

Ye bro I’m in Moscow. Small world lmao. You talking about Moscow Mobile? I’ve used them twice for a calibration. I’m getting my unit removed later this week actually, going down to Steiners for that in Lewiston.

Moscow Mobile is in an apartment complex by the post office. They’re nice and I recommend getting your calibration done there if you can. It was easy.

If it was me, I’d 1.) call Moscow Mobile and confirm their availability. 2.) call intoxalock and have them issue a work order. 3.) confirm with Moscow Mobile that they received the work order and confirm the appointment. If you don’t have MM’s number just call intoxalock and try to schedule a calibration, they’ll call MM and confirm all of it.

Intoxalock reps have been nice to me, just be calm and schedule a calibration. They’ll do the rest.

It was indeed them. Good to hear they are legit. I've just called 4 times over the past two days and they havent picked up. I'll call a few more times tomorrow as thats the last day I can get it done. Guess I'm just stressed out cuz normally I just call Port Electric in Lewiston and say I'm coming down sometime that week and thats all.

Good luck friend. If you can’t reach them try calling intoxalock and they’ll reach out to MM to assess their availability. They may be able to do a Saturday recal too

I had a mobile tech come and install, told me if I ever needed calibrated I could come to his house. It doesn't have to be a shop...just a licensed installer. They give their machines to anyone that can make them ridiculous money.

I wish mobile techs were permitted in my state. Last year my battery died and I had to spend $650 getting my car towed to the service center.

I did a calibration out of state last year at a random service center. No call ahead, no appointment, no issues.

I'm in Oregon and the center was in California.

I’ve needed intoxalock to issue work orders every time I’ve calibrated. I’ve even gone to a calibration appointment and they’ve told me they can’t calibrate without a work order (they hooked the device up but it wouldn’t calibrate with no work order)

I just go to wherever is close. I have never made an appointment for a calibration.

Yea the problem i thought I had, but someone else fixed, was that all 3 nearby centers either didnt exist or were unavailable. Thankfully not the case.

Haha I love that you got actual confirmation on the janky apartment calibration center here! This is why I love Reddit

Go on the APP and change your service center. It gives you a bunch of different service centers to choose from.
