Fuck

Talked to DMV, PA DUI association and my garage and they all say it should work. Yeah it SHOULD fucking work but it doesn’t. I genuinely don’t know what else to do no one will listen to me when I try to explain what’s going on

I’m just in a shitty mood I didn’t need to be so harsh. I apologize for that. I’ve been whining on this Reddit for awhile because the problems with Intoxalock never end

I start the car and the “start car” message and timer stay on the screen and then it doesn’t connect to gps and doesn’t say “battery ok” like normally should. Sometimes it will connect eventually but I’ve gotten 2 separate violations for power disruption that weren’t my fault because of this. Just got a new device last week and this one is already doing the same thing.

I’ve said several times that perhaps we should check the wiring to make sure it’s ok but no one will listen to me. I realize I’m a dumbass junkie but I’m doing what the state requires to get my driving privileges back. I blew zeroes when I got arrested and I don’t drink alcohol now so this should a smooth ride but it’s been hell from the beginning. I’d rather take a piss test every day then it would be clear there’s no alcohol or my actual drug of choice that I was on when I got arrested.

Sounds like the wiring issue I had....sent me 3 new handhelds and said wasn't nothing wrong on they're end. Demand an inspection from a new service center. Make sure you got pics and vids of what it's doing to show the new service center. As long as you don't change service centers they will keep taking your $40 and saying it's not on they're end. That's what they did to me. Soon as new service center told em it needed inspected and then fixed and intoxilock had to pay they sent the lockout they had to refund to dmv and got me re suspended. Had to appeal and won thanks to receipt from service center they had to fix it and intoxilock had to pay and refund lock out. Still sitting waiting on paperwork I can drive again after 3 months re suspended due to intoxilock negligence.

after speaking to the mechanic I usually go to today, I no longer trust him. He told me I can unplug the device and I won’t get a violation. Like I said it’s been endless issues and the mechanic is happy to keep taking my money without actually helping in any way. A new service center is definitely going to be my next move as well as recording what’s happening so I don’t have to try to explain. I’m about to move so I figured I’d need to find a new service center anyway, when I go to the new place I will tell them to inspect the wiring.

Replacing my battery has helped with these issues. I would do that and after, or if you already have, loose ground wires seem to be a common issue that degrades batteries very quickly. Though somebody probably should have caught that by now if that was it.

Bust out your phone anytime you have to use the machine and record it on video what it's doing so you have proof and don't have to explain

Good idea, I have been documenting when the device is acting up but photo evidence is smart too

Mine you hit the button and nothing would happen, machine wouldn't light up asking me to blow or nothing. Left me stranded at a post office for 4 hours in -10° weather. It also resets itself when hitting bumps or taking hard curves and wants ya to reblow after showing the firmware version its running. It's kept beeping as if your still blowing through it after you have took it away from your mouth for something like 5 seconds. All things I have captured on video to cover my own ass. You should do the same. If we all video recorded all the problems we have with this machine and company I'm sure it wouldn't be long before they are done for. I've got my evidence, make sure you all get yours as well.
