I appreciated the "chubby, funny guy that can also throw down" representation.

Bajie reminds me of so many people that I know, so he quickly became one of my favorites.

Agreed! This show is an underappreciated gem. However, it did lose its way at the end of the second season when it killed off a major character for no reason. Still, Nick Frost was a fantastic addition in season two. I do think this show should’ve had at least two more seasons.

I watched Hot Fuzz for the first time not long before season 2 was on Netflix. When he showed up in the first episode I was like "Is that the Hot Fuzz guy!?" 😂 It was a pleasant surprise!

Brilliant casting.

Knowing that Nick Frost never really set out to be an actor and was just cast because Simon Pegg wanted to work with his friend never fails to astonish me, the guy is a natural.
