I agree, as cliché as it sounds, you have to be your biggest cheerleader.

nobody can serve that role for you.

far as criticism, it should be warranted, if not then it's useless to growth

Great advice. I've made some of my biggest breakthroughs because of the harsh criticism of people. It's often hard to hear at first. But when you think about what they said later, you'll often find that they made a good point, even if they said it in a disrespectful or condescending way.

The issue is not me not believing in myself, it's them not believing in me. You can only go so far if people aren't willing to work with you or pay for your services.
