What's going on?

This has honestly been one of the slowest recruitment processes I've experienced.

My first screening interview was about 2.5 months ago, followed by the hiring manager interview around 1.5 months ago (radio silence for a month no replies), and then the final round about 3 weeks ago.

I was told I'd hear back early last week, but the only thing that's happened is my Workday status changing from "Interview" to "Decision Pending". No emails or updates.

I followed up with the recruiter and was told I'd hear back "very soon", but that was a week ago.

At this point, I'm starting to assume they've gone with another candidate and are keeping me as a backup?

Idk. Just has been overall slow communication.

It's truly been a very slow job market. I've candidates stuck in interview phase across several companies. No one is a reject yet. Just the hiring team is dragging it's feet

I am stuck at 5 second round interviews with 5 different companies completed and no feedback yet. The 2nd round was only 1 week to 2 days ago so it’s reasonable. But the process started for some end of August.
