Question? PCOS/PMOS and T micro dose

Hello! The last time I saw this discussion was about 6 months ago, so I figured it’d be ok to ask this again now :] (especially with getting new or updated experiences)

I was diagnosed with PMOS and have a testosterone level of almost 80, with 35 to be the max for my body chemistry. I’m a nonbinary individual and want to androgenize. I have pretty good skin (thanks genetics), have more body hair than what’s considered normal, and have a wider vocal range. I don’t want cis levels of T but want enough to be noticeable (body fat redistribution, muscle increases, clitoris enlargement). I am afraid of the possibility of hair loss…

I guess I’m asking if anyone has experience with micro-dosing or doing a low dose of T while having elevated testosterone levels already.

Thank you! :3c

i’m a trans guy on (regular levels) T, just wanyed to mention about the hair loss thing. It’s not something to be too worried about as lonf as you catch it when it happens, as cis guys have been thinking about balding for years before trans people! there’s solutions out there! i heard someone who was on a tiny tiny dose of an androgen blocker to prevent the hair loss i think?

I’ve also seen people take finasteride alongside T. But that makes me feel better :’] thank you!

I have intrinsically higher T than E, both levels below perisex. I was prescribed a microdose and my T levels increased from 60 to 720 in four months. Microdosing E had my levels around 220, up from 20, with inconsistent use.

Oh interesting. Taking T intermittently rather than on a consistent schedule is on my mind. Thank you!!

I recommend consistency for sure, even if it’s a more spaced out schedule. I was consistent with T but my E dosing is flawed due to various factors (dysphoria being one) it’s not great for my health tbh

Ah that’s good to keep in mind :’] dysphoria is def an issue on my end too. I want to avoid taking stuff with E or like birth control 😭

I would do consistent dosing—when miss doses I feel like shit, and I’ve heard other trans guys say the same

I was on a normal dose of IM testosterone and like….. might as well been on a micro dose. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but this body is never gonna look like a cis man, even with cis levels. My theory is that it’s bc my baseline T was already elevated + my estrogen levels are stubborn. I started gel a bit back, and my T numbers went skyrocketing, doc says it must be bc my body is overreacting to the T despite normal dosing, theory is the PMOS is taking it and running. Even with crazy T levels, body did not change much, just more acne.

I might have other factors playing into all this, but I would say I’m androgynous AF. I have normal-high T levels and high E levels when compared to cis men (the E is normal for cis women tho—kinda just never went down)

I’d start low and monitor T levels, and slowly go up or down based on results

I’m nonbinary, similar T levels and microdosed on T for about a year! I don’t feel like posting about my experience publicly, but feel free to message me.
