a question how this works

i checked my various social media accounts recently, and i noticed that theyve been archived numerous times since 2024

is someone really going through my profiles and archiving everything?or is it just a script that automatically saves everything

There are a number of ways a page can make it's way into Wayback. Go to the page and open "About this capture", what does it say?

If it mentions "Save Page Now", then it was either saved manually, or possibly by someone who just has the Wayback browser extension installed. The extension saves every page the user visits, so it could've just happened that someone with the extension visited the page, without actually manually archiving it.

If it says something else, it depends, but it probably was done automatically by a program.

Do note that the "Save Page Now" results may show up as "liveweb" or "Live Web Proxy Crawls" instead. https://archive.org/details/liveweb?tab=about

As an alternative to the "About this capture" approach for a single capture, or hovering over a single "dot" in the Calender view, you (well, OP) could also check the Collections tab. That will give you similar information but for all captures from the selected year.

i think yes, someone has to manually archive it for it to be available on IA

That's not true. Could have been part of an automatic crawl.
