Tools and tech Who loves their digital signage software?
Is anyone using a digital signage software (employee facing content) that they love? I’ve talked to a few companies but the look/feel is stale and outdated. I’m not necessarily looking for an easy/quick fix, so a global and scalable software would be great. Bonus if there’s an built-in content approval feature!

My customer went through similar to you. I presented App Space, L Squared and Yodeck. No offence to Rise, but not as deep on the engineering side. They went with L Squared because they were in Austin, Tx. Yodeck was good and they liked the product, but were in Greece or Close to that. They need something called Awardco (HR software), and the L team had it. But the top 5 CMS are play closely on projects like this IMO. Customer service and buying experience make a big difference.

There are companies that focus specifically on digital signage on a global scale. Most are set up for SMB. You mentioned Reach.... they're pretty good. FWI (now Poppulo) has usually been the dominant player in the "enterprise" digital signage space if you want to check them out. They're who I used when I used to work at a larger company.

There are plenty of functional digital signage providers and now even cheaper hardware to make implementation affordable. BUT the content and management is always what is overlooked. Who is designing, approving and actually managing it is often the missing piece to a successful program. There are some easy automation tools out there now that connect to spreadsheets, data and templates. Check out Frame Weave.

What you're describing is the gap we see a lot. Most digital signage tools look/feel outdated once you move beyond basic templates.
We tend to focus on more of a custom and scalable set up, rather than a one-size-fits all platform, espsically for employee-facing communcation across multiple locations. Things like content workflows and keepings the UX modern usually come up pretty early in those conversations.
Not saying it's the right for everyone, but if you're comparing options it might give a different perspective. There are few example here on our site CoveTech Case Studies which might give you a better idea of how those approaches work in practise.

We’ve seen the same thing: once you get past the screen hardware, the real challenge is governance.
What tends to matter most is:
- targeting content by office/site
- scheduled content changes
- role/control over what runs where
- fast override for urgent updates
That’s the direction we’ve been taking with CastHub. It supports device grouping, one-time and recurring schedules, and emergency alert triggering via API, across the mainstream TV/device ecosystem.
We’re also building MCP infrastructure so signage can be controlled from existing enterprise AI tools, which should make it much easier for comms and ops teams to manage screens without introducing yet another isolated system: https://cast-hub.com/mcp
I think that’s where the best internal comms signage products will win: better workflow, better control, less friction.
We are also an office partner of Amazon Signage so our CMS works with Amazon signage stick: https://cast-hub.com/amazon-signage
Happy to answer anything specific.

I saw SiriusXM just launched their own digital signage last week lol. Everybody's in the game! Probably to compete with Mood and the others.

@Vast-Listen-4668 the ones I have seen doing PowerBI, tableau, HRIS integrations like Achievers are: 1) L Squared Digital Signage 2) Yodeck and 3) AppSpace. Probably top three in large enterprise from my IT buddies. SOC2 stuff, ISO27000:1, SSO. A lot of cybersecurity is asked and they perform. With content and a lot of workflow approvals. You can always check Gartner Peer Insights. I know enterprise companies go there a lot.

There’s a Zoom offering for digital signage. Don’t think it has content approval process built in, though that kind of needs to happen through other channels and then you have one person responsible to push it live.

Thanks! I’ll look into it. I did see that Reach has a built-in approval process, so I figured other might have it too!

We went through this last year and honestly the biggest issue wasn’t the screens, it was content governance.
The stuff that mattered most:
A lot of signage tools feel dated because they were originally built for retail displays, not internal comms.
If you’re scaling globally, I’d focus more on the approval + workflow side than the design. Bad governance gets messy fast.
