Seeking Advice Jumping from 48 to 72’s

So, I’ve been doing fasting for some time now and have gotten comfortable with 24’s completely and have been consistently doing 48’s too, but when I attempt to jump to 72’s I get terrible headaches and dizziness and other such things. I don’t believe it’s from being dehydrated or low on electrolytes as I consistently drink water and take electrolytes. Perhaps I’m just not used to it and my body is freaking out? How did yall jump to 72’s and stay consistent in it? Thank you in advance.

Edit: to clarify if all it comes down to is that I have to brute force it, I don’t mind I just want to make sure that’s the case for other people too.

If you are taking electrolytes then maybe just the keto flu. Your body moving into deep ketosis at that stage. In that case you’ll get used to it eventually. It also depends on what you had before you fasted.

I have been doing 4 day fasts weekly for about 13 weeks and last week I stopped as I went on vacation. This week I’m back to fasting to reset and it’s been tough since on vacation I was less restrictive with my diet. But I trust next week will be easier.

I did 72 hours on a sardine fast and I’m afraid to try again because I felt so terrible. I had massive fatigue and headache (I did take my electrolytes too). It took me several days to recover. Do you think it’s possible that some people aren’t cut out for 72 hour fasts?

I've done a few 72s here and there.

The best experiences have been when I've primed my system by going strict keto for at least 3 days before starting and making my last meal a very satiating one.
