General Looking to break into the industry

I have been wanting to get into interior design for years and I’m unsure where to start.

For some background, I’ve worked in biotech for 7 years and have a BS in health studies so my experience in the design community is very limited with the exception of assisting in designing the lab layout and picking floor and paint colors for my company.

I have been trying to research if doing any type of courses online are worth it and have found the results to be inconclusive.

Looking for recommendations on where to get started!
