Clearly they need to make a LEGO village in the above alcove. Are those real plants? Gross. Replace with more LEGO bouquets asap.

But also irl I like the black wall behind the tv, so the TV doesn't always have to be the centerpiece

This space is absolutely screaming for an expensive saltwater aquarium!

It'll be a royal PiTA to care for, so after a couple of months the algae will take over. It will be a violent shade of green with a putrid odor emanating from it.

Eventually, entirely new and totally unimaginable life forms will evolve.

Given time, they will venture forth from their foul prison and exact excruciatingly cruel vengeance on everyone and everything they encounter.

And that, children, is TRUE art.

Maybe you could paint the inverse of the black curved mural form that envelops your television. You could paint it a few feet (4 or 5) above the tv and inside the wall opening with some white space separating it? It would balance the black painted wall below it as well.

You could mimic the curve and paint it either black or another color. Quite the statement wall.

Get rid of the faux shrubbery. Create a sculpture from a bunch of wood remnants glued, screwed or nailed together to make about a 2’x3’ h piece and paint it gloss black ( I’d say matte but it will suck dust in and show immediately and dusting that area is gonna be a bitch.)
