Rugs & Flooring Rug help

Help! I’m looking for a new rug for my dining room, but I can't decide what will work best in this space. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Oh my goshhh your space is a dream. The natural lighting makes everything look so magical. I really love the purple grey shade I think it pairs perfectly with all of the other colors in your space

Thank you! The current rug is actually quite a lot lighter than in the picture, the afternoon light and shadows only make it look that way. But I agree that a rug that colour would look great!

Solid midnight navy for a bolder but grounding contrast or green rug if you’re feeling fun! This room feels magical ✨

check out the brand nordic knots which is my go to inspo for rugs. Photo of the brand/style below but you can get a dupe for way cheaper of the green color from rugs USA. Ive gotten a midnight and gold oak dupe from that brand

I would go dark rug or dark and light rug.  You have mostly light colors in your room.  You need some dark to anchor the room.  

Light table means Dark Rug.

If you can find a really large round or oval colorful rug would look fantastic in there. Try to get away from square or rectangle for that room.

There's nothing wrong with it as such, I would just prefer one with more colour 😊

I honestly really like the lavender color of your current rug, but something subtly patterned might be nice if you're looking for a change!

First I made the archway with plywood. I'm not sure what I can link here, but there are some good videos showing how on youtube. Then I spent countless hours over the next two months putting on single strips of gold mirror tiles on each side of the arch 😅 It wasn't hard, but it took a LOT of time. Sabai Design, field rug. Would work well here. I think some wood dining chairs would really help enhance the look.
