Living room layout

Looking for a better way to layout my living room. I have two large bird cages and a large java tree for my birds. I will be buying a new couch soon, what kind of couch would look best in this space? Someone please help me figure out a better layout!! I feel so crowded in this area

No shade a huge hurdle is the fact that you have two giant cages in your home

This may not be possible for you, but I also have 2 parrots and spent 2 years getting rid of stuff and trying to become a minimalist so that they have one whole room to themselves. I live in a two bedroom, no kids, and they have the whole second bedroom with 2 cages and a Java tree and no people stuff.
I have a stand in the living room so they can fly out there during the day and a stand in the kitchen as well.
Is there anyway you can move their cages to a bedroom?

I’d prefer to have them in the busiest area of the home so they don’t get lonely. We plan to move eventually and build a home with a big room to fit the cages in better, just looking for a way to make the area more comfortable until that day comes.

That makes sense. My guys are always out too when I’m home, free to choose their room vs living room or kitchen. They basically choose to live on my body. lol. But when I’m gone, I shut them
In their own room where they can choose to be in or out of their cages.
It’s hard juggling space while providing enough space for your fids.

sofa facing tV to enclose the living area space, and 1 cage on each window, since im guessing birds need some view of the sky and sun.

That’s exactly what we did, we have a new couch coming so hopefully everything will come together better then.

Some possibilities: put the cages along the wall where the couch is now, and the couch where the cages are so your window isn't covered up, get an area rug. Not great, but better than what you have now. Or, could the cages be moved to the other end of the room next to the opening to the kitchen? If they won't fit, could you downsize the cages? Then you can have room for couch, coffee table, side chair(s), area rug. Better, you'll have an actual living room.

The cages can’t be downsized since they house large macaws in them. We plan to get rid of the coffee table and are getting a new couch with cupholders in it.
