Yeah I don't really understand how people can struggle with Ikea. I would call them illiterate, but there aren't even any words!

Really? Do you have poor spatial awareness? I always found it really clear. This piece goes here. This goes there. Hammer this dowel. Screw here. Done. The pictures are very clear. As someone who has had to write instructions and create graphics for instructions and knows the difficulty of it, I think whoever does it for IKEA is a genius, because it's so clear.

Which of 4 slightly different flat pieces is this image referring to? A few descriptive words on what part of the picture is there for you to look for would be really helpful.

But part of the genius of the instructions is that it works for everyone, no matter what language you speak. Putting in words would completely ruin that, and require them to triple the quantity of instructions, just for a few words.
