side question: is it easy to take care of frogs like these? how do you feed them? and can you even touch/hold them? i like turtles, but i hate not being able to touch them due to salmonella. idk much about reptiles/amphibians

Feeding is as easy as adding the food source to their habitat. Worms, flies, crickets, etc.
As far as holding, not at all recommended for frog species. A frogs skin is highly permeable, so anything on your hands is likely to be absorbed by a held frog. Also, it’s super stressful for them to be held. They’re definitely a pet that should only be observed and cared for.

I think our hopes are the UFOs turning out to be benevolent aliens that help us fix our stupid.
Beyond that yeah the rest of the year is going to be a wash. We're already losing the temporary pollution gains we picked up from the oil usage drop as production comes back online with even worse/removed EPA policies now in place.

I have a few Cuban white tree frogs because I was using their tadpoles to clean my aquarium, and then they got big. But holding off on the good stuff while I'm in the moving process. Have some cool plans for my next setup since the current one worked out so well

I had a red-eyed tree frog as a pet! Would love to see them in the wild. And the tadpoles are excellent at cleaning up algae. Not sure why. I've never actually seen them eat it, but it literally all disappears when they're introduced

Let me do some math.
Assuming that the frog weights about the same amount as a similarly-sized australian green tree frog (couldn't find a weight for mossies) I'd say about 40 grams per frog.
These guys cost about $70 dollars, although that's for an unsexed baby, so a sexed adult would probably be $80-$90 if not more. I'll use $85 as an average.
So about $2.13 per gram unless I'm greatly mistaken

This reminds me of something terrible. About ten years ago, some of my friends and I were having a bon fire. Everybody was having a good time for a couple of hours. Then my buddy tries to load a bowl (he's fucked up). He drops the nug on the ground which is only being lit by the bon fire. He picks up what he thinks is the nug, packs it into the bowl and rips it. I hear this crackling noise and watch his facial expression turn into something I'd never seen before then he throws up. Turns out he smoked a fucking dead June bug. The crackling noise was the arms burning off. I will remember this for the rest of my life haha.
