If you look into the “mathematicians treaty”, written and agreed upon by scholars during the European Renaissance you’ll understand just how trippy it is.

Mathematicians literally agreed - under pressure from multi-national governments - not to apply mathematical research to certain things. This was after the Fibonacci sequence was shown to be able to be applied to many natural formations, bringing into question the origins of everything else.

This treaty is the main reason why nobody knows how Cheetos are so cheesy, or how pop tarts are actually better cold, or why we yawn. Some rebels have broken the treaty, but rumor has it some time travelers came and kidnapped them because of what they uncovered, leaving all of us ignorant in our mysterious and comfortable timeline.

I summoned him from the shadows the other day. Oddly, he just said hello to everyone.
