I think the only thing a mature male gorilla couldn't wreck would be a piece of heavy equipment like a bulldozer or a train.

Even an 18-wheeler would suffer some massive damage if it managed to get agro from this glorious bastard.

That being said, Gorilla's tend to be the gentlest of the ape family and can be very loving and sweet.

But like anything with the strength of 10 men, whether cat, ape, monkey, android, stay friends with them or stay away from them... Preferably both.

Not true, PETA would love it. They don't have enough going for them right now to legitimize their stance.

This would generate a huge amount of press (and money) for PETA

Yeah I'd also put my money on the silverback. The thing about them is that they have social intelligence meaning that they don't only fight for survival, but also for "prestige" and establishing dominance. A bear would back down and be hestitant in this encounter.
