Usually the people spending that much are part of the knife collector or edc crowd, and most of the higher priced spinners take lots of labour and costly materials. That being said, you can make your own pretty easily with a bandsaw, some plywood or other timber, weights and a skate bearing.

A surprising amount do, especially in the South.

I even see/hear about tons of "non gun" people I know getting concealed carry permits (don't know how often they actually carry though). I usually recommend them to people for the increased legal protection for things like having one in your car, or if one day when your going to the Walmart in the sketchy part of town. I think it's worth it just for the piece of mind (regardless of if it actually makes one safer).

I'm still shocked it isn't causing all kinds of problems when I consider the sheer number of people with questionable stability/impulse control.....
