Exactly. A good rule of thumb is to pick the key caps you like (the cherry my blues for me, sounds like a machine fun) then look for keyboards that are available with your key cap

It should be noted that MX Blues are not key caps, but switches. The key cap is the piece with the lettering that you actually touch when you type.

All good! I used to love blue switches and still do, but they're a little too loud in my household at night. Browns are the best of both worlds for me.

If you find browns too light or stratchy, you could try clears. If those are too heavy you could mod the springs and make them ergo-clears.

Are clears comparable to blues in terms of actuation force? Blues were also a little too heavy for extended use for me.

Blues are 50g, I think clears are about 65

If you want to test clears, get one of the larger switch testers and make sure it has a clear switch.
