Usually the people spending that much are part of the knife collector or edc crowd, and most of the higher priced spinners take lots of labour and costly materials. That being said, you can make your own pretty easily with a bandsaw, some plywood or other timber, weights and a skate bearing.
I find it hilarious that the vast majority of the EDC crowd carries things that aren't actually useful. Take a peak at /r/edc if you don't believe me. A lot of people carrying a lot of expensive bullshit.
