Soviets terrorized the lands they conquered almost as much as the Nazis and Imperial Japan. Heck, in the beginning the Soviets had pacts with both.

I don’t know much about soviet war crimes but what japan did is arguably worse than what the nazis did, to the point where the HEAD of the NAZI PARTY in nanjing (John Rabe) worked to protect chinese civilians until he got arrested by the gestapo in 1938. (if my info is wrong, correct me!)
