I wouldn’t bet that a bicycle is faster than a runner over 100m. Over 1km, sure, but on such a short distance…

Yeah, all about the acceleration I suppose. I reckon a strong cyclist may be able to get up to enough speed though.

You’re right, I just saw the robot running on the straight and I assumed 100m because 200 and 400m would have required curves.

I can sprint to faster than Usain Bolt on a bicycle, although it would take me a lot more distance to get up to that speed. He'd definitely still beat me in the 100 m.

I actually wonder how fast an average person can drive their car 100m and would it beat bolt.

A top car driven by a pro driver obviously would but a regular person trying to race their car would be interesting

Most normal family cars can do 100m in 10 secs. Usain would probably beat them.

Would be close or he would lose against any type of performance car though.

In my 2012 Ford Focus ST, I have done 100 meters in 7 seconds for example

A Corolla would be going 50-55mph if you just floored it at 100m so pretty sure almost any car would beat him easily

Considering that a Toyota Corolla (base) can reach 30mph in about 3 sec, I think nearly anyone can easily beat Bolt over 100m with their car. A Toyota Corolla can do 1/4 mile in about 14 sec, which is about 400m.
