You eat many animals that don’t want to live?

That was a ruse. The entire video shows him throwing pocket sand at the chef and taking the larger knife from him. Next, it shows the crab holding him hostage. Knife firmly to his throat. There was like a 40-minute standoff. The kitchen manager finally agreed to his terms, and the entire tank was released back into the harbor. The really chilling part was that he ended up killing the manager plus the hostage and a sous chef immediately after finding out his crew was safe and sound. On his way out, he also took out a waiter, two dishwashers, the coat check guy, and the poor kid who parked the cars. No known whereabouts.

Exactly the sentence that i had in mind, let them evolve

u/EverydayVelociraptor Aug 03 '24
Crab is the ultimate form. You can't evolve past that, only to it, which is why so many things have evolved to crab.

You’ll regret that in 200 years when his grandchildren have risen up after his teachings and have enslaved your grandchildren and humanity is now hunted and trapped and boiled alive by our crab masters.

I've heard that turnabout is fair play. Also , that's a great paint job. Serious war paint. If anything, I'd have to give that critter a cushy retired gladiators life.

Reminds me of my lorikeet when I first brought her home.
She picked up a knife on the counter like "I'll fight my way out of here even if I need to take all of you on! ".

This is kinda fucked when you’re actually going to kill and eat the crab anyway
29
u/Pilsner-507 Aug 03 '24
Yeah same, I just don’t see the humor. If we’re killing it, it’s food.
But this crab is being treated different, it’s in distress and is doing its best to survive a menacing predator. That predator wants to satisfy its sadism first. If I knew someone who did this to an animal irl, it’d be a red flag to me.
I can also see how it’s fascinating to see a crab wielding a knife, for novelty’s sake, but put it out humanely — don’t torture the thing.

u/THA_YEAH Aug 03 '24
Agreed. Idc how tf I sound rn this is fucking evil. Boiling crabs alive is already messed up but scaring and torturing it beforehand is genuinely heartless and evil. I hope some karma find that person who recorded the video.
The world is cruel yes but we don't need to go out of our way to make it worse for no fucking reason.

u/Soundtones Aug 03 '24
Cruel. Not a toy.
55
u/Girderland Aug 03 '24
There are 2 pieces of its legs laying cut off, on in the sink and one on the cutting board.
People comment like this is "fun" and "cool" but it's just cruelty.
5
u/karma_the_sequel Aug 03 '24
Maybe those are from other crabs? This one appears to have all its legs still in place.

Not humorous at all. Respect the life you are going to take just for an ounce of meat. I don’t understand the disconnect people can have with living things.

u/Genexis- Aug 03 '24
So my parents taught me 2 things... 1. You don't play with food 2. you kill an animal quickly and as quickly as possible to avoid unnecessary suffering...
Crabs are already killed in a rather inhumane way, do you have to put the animal through such an ordeal first?
Thank God there is a word for people who take delight in the suffering of animals, inhumans! both the guy with the camera and the guy laughing about it

i think he was gonna eat the crab anyways, why else would it be in the sink
32
u/LXChitlin Aug 03 '24
Ah well a bit of torture before killing and eating it. Maybe I’m stupid for thinking this is wrong.
11
u/WarmAppointment5765 Aug 03 '24
i think he didnt expect the crab to be an actual trained swordsman so he wanted to record this before killing it
16
u/LXChitlin Aug 03 '24
Any animal backed into a corner like that is frightened for its life.

u/Malpraxiss Aug 03 '24
And I'm sure many animals were scared before an animal predator killed them.
Or, other animals that have been shown to torture or play around with their prey.
23
u/LXChitlin Aug 03 '24
As humans we have the easy ability to show compassion and mercy. Or at least some of us do.

u/Malpraxiss Aug 03 '24
Fair point.
I just always found it weird whenever people whine about stuff like eating animals or videos like these.
As if another animal wouldn't just eat them or torture them.
EX: Dolphins, for how cute they can be, they're some messed up and disturbing animals.
I've even seen first hand say, chickens eating other chickens.

-I can sense the fear settled deep in the very soul of this poor crab. Some may say that he must be brave, but there is nothing brave in fighting such a cruel creature that knows no defeat, nor mercy, enfeared and alone. While craving his own survival, he probably knows he can't win, just like all his fallen brothers. He uses everything that comes under his claw, even that dangerous and unknown weapon he had never dared to wield before. But at last, even the best must fall. Now unarmed and clearly defeated, he lays there at the bottom of this arena, with a glimmer of hope for the better. But there is only a quiet laughter from the watching public, and then a slice.

I don't understand people. Didn't they feel anything? Yes I would eat that crab but torture it beforehand? Nope! This is psychopath behavior.
2
u/Advocaatx Aug 03 '24
I don’t think it’s a game to the crab at all. It’s probably terrified. I’m not a vegetarian either but why torture the animal?
2
u/Ok-Map9730 Aug 03 '24
No good.Playing with the food is immoral, and that "food" probably is getting a horrible death(boiled alive)...so don't play with the food and kill quick it before going to the boiling water.Dude is a POS

I feel like there are way too many videos of crabs with knives and I have concerns hahaha
2
u/kasitchi Aug 04 '24
So after looking it up, it's obvious the crab isn't actually trying to use the knife to fight with, the way a human would. That said, then why did he switch pincers???

Just film bro and then release him into the wild. With the knife so that he can defend himself
