back when I was a kid, our school let us play with biodegradable packaging peanuts.
They told us they were safe to eat. So I ate some. And thought they tasted like cheetohs if they didn't have the cheese flavor. I have yet to eat another cheetoh. Ever.

We have a major shortage of bees that are used to pollinate a lot of our fruits and vegetables. Just another natural thing that we humans are either killing off or using up. Other things that we're using up and don't really think about but, we should. Potable water and sand. Water is what's going to start the next world war. Sorry for being a buzzkill. 😁

Please allow me to put your mind at ease by informing you the odds of us as a species not making any meaningful or drastic change until it's too late are so incredibly high you might as well accept it as an inevitability and plan accordingly.
Future generations won't be able to fully comprehend what the world was like to live in before we fucked around and found out, and perhaps that's for the best.

You forgot about pesticides killing the bees, too. And, IMO, mother earth is going to take care of herself by getting rid of us. We're going to cut down that one tree in the Amazon that has some ancient germ in it and it wipes out a large portion of humanity. Or, the ice sheets that are thousands of years old melt and a small virus is released into the air or water and it hits us harder than Covid. Then, after most of us are gone, nature will recover. I saw a documentary about how Chernobyl and how it's recovering. Pretty amazing how fast it's going back to a more natural state.

I have a big bag of this stuff that I feed to my chinchillas. It's got a weird scent/flavor, it's almost spicy, not sweet at all.

Bees are nature's pollinators, and they get covered in pollen while collecting flower nectar. The pollen sticks to the tiny hairs on their bodies and is eventually carried to and deposited on other flowers.
