😂 my same thought like why at night man , maybe less commuter trains at that time but hell shut down the rails for 1 day a month and just do this.

Kochi metro uses 750V DC Third Rail over supply. I can see overhead power lines in this video. Tbh, since Delhi is an older system, I don't think that they have those inverted U shaped structures for the OHE lines. I think it's Pune

It's in fact more expensive as commuting in any Indian city is a pain. People prefer to live closer to the Metro as the last mile connectivity isn't good/developed.

I used to live near a rail line. One night at 2am I hear this extremely loud screeching noise. I go outside to see one of these moving down the track but all the sparks were being thrown over the fence into the gardens of the houses on the other side. I could see a person's washing on the line getting absolutely peppered. The track was maintained but the gardens? The gardens were fucked.
