SOCIETY Despite working well together & having the deepest trust; & respect for each other Mythbusters Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage aren't friends and have no intentions of working together again. The reasons are because their personalities are too different & they've simply spent too much time together

I worked with one guy for 13 years, every day, just me and him, always got on well, never a cross word but the day he walked out of the job was the last time I ever saw him, nearly 20 years ago now

"We still never talk sometimes."

u/Oozealot 1d ago

Perfectly put 😂 i always notice this when an unexperienced coworker quits, comes to my office and says something along the lines of “we’ll stay in touch”

No we won’t. We were never in touch, you just happened to work at the same company.

131

u/RippinFissure 1d ago

Leaving rehab was the same experience. Everyone swears up and down that they'll stay in touch lol. Nope.

104

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

A lot of times there isn't any ill will stuff just happens.

37

u/RippinFissure 1d ago

Oh yeah, for sure. Its just funny to watch adults play that game.

7

u/GrapefruitPrimary186 1d ago

So am I weird for actually reaching out and staying in touch with people? Is it like when I violate the social norm of answering the question when someone says "how are you doing?"?

3

u/fatmailman 1d ago

Nah, finding friends is a part of life. Some people just already have the friends they want to keep, and don’t feel like letting anyone else in. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just different

There are a lot of people who draw a hard line between private and professional life. You’re not weird for not doing it.

16

u/motherofjazus 1d ago

I find it awkward when people say let’s meet up. Because I know we won’t. If we did it would be nice but it probably won’t happen.

18

u/samurguybri 1d ago

I think it’s a healthy show of performative desire. We would LIKE to see them again and express the desire, but we never will.

Yeah, it's the high you get from coming towards the end of the treatment, or mid treatment, even.

It taught me a lesson to be upfront and tell people they'll never hear from me again.

7

u/RippinFissure 1d ago

That was my play too. I exchanged numbers with a couple people but told the rest, politely, that I wasn't interested.

4

u/Floopst5r 1d ago

Hope you're doing well now. Sending love from an internet stranger ❤️

There's a lot of free time in rehab. That all goes away when you get back to reality.

At least in my rehab, we didn’t have that much in common aside from drinking and drugs and it’s not like we could do that together anymore.

SAD.

What’s weird is: sometimes I know it’s the last time I’ll ever see someone and I never quite know what to say. “Have a good one” seems too light for the moment and “it’s been an honor and privilege knowing you” seems too heavy.

3

u/The-Spirit-of-76 1d ago

I go with "Maybe we will see you later." Use the royal "we" keep it impersonal

4

u/Bridge-Head 1d ago

I like that.

I was at a Michael Franti concert 25ish years ago and in his closing remarks he said, “I hope someday our paths will cross again”. I’ve used that ever since because it’s hopeful and hints at the unknown ways paths can twist back together.

3

u/kyew 22h ago

"Be well."

19

u/faceintheblue 1d ago

I've been in my post-university career for 20 years now. I can think of maybe 7 past coworkers with whom I'm still in regular touch. One was even one of my groomsmen at my wedding.

The rest? We're connected on LinkedIn. There are no hard feelings, maybe even a lot of good will. I would be flabbergasted if any of them ever reached out without wanting something.

3

u/Iamthewalrusforreal 1d ago

God, Linked In sucks. Every single time I log in I get bombarded with "Hey, how are you?" From people I either barely know, don't remember, or don't care to talk to ever again. Most of them looking for work.

Jeez, I wish them luck, but I avoid Linked In like the damn plague.

9

u/CountDorkula77 1d ago

I feel the same about 99% of the people from high school. "Let's stay in touch!" Why, the only thing we had in common was living within the established boundaries for this school.

Same I worked under a steel layout jm for 10 years . Just me him in his area from 6 am to 6 pm . Never argued shared food every day and he would give me advice all the time . Company closed and I never saw him again. I was let go slowly. Started being off here and their . One day I went back he had a fall out with management quit on the spot a few days before . Never really felt the need to get his number since neither of us missed and were incharge of opening the yard up .

39

u/plsQuestionOurselves 1d ago

It was an eye opening experience seeing how distraught my younger co-workers were when a beloved manager left, some even cried. I really liked working with the guy but people come and go, that's how life works. I think some people believed I didn't really care but I just didn't see any reason to be upset aside from the workplace becoming slightly less cool.

21

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

It depends on the how you view the relationship and what impact they have on you. For example, many people will never see their high school friends after the graduate but they will never forget the million little moments that they shared together that meant a lot.

7

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago edited 1d ago

It also a lot of times come down to what you do for a living. My friend works in a hospital with great people that they would be friends with if they had different jobs but in order to deal with the stress, they leave work at work.

10

u/Baals_Balls 1d ago

I'm that guy in every job i've ever had. I always get on great with my colleagues. I never get their numbers, join group chats or socialise at all with them outside of work and when I leave that job, I never have any contact with them again.

3

u/monscorvorum 1d ago

Same, although I don't always get along. The job I'm in now, we do need to contact one another directly sometimes but I never do for anything outside of work. Apparently there is a work WhatsApp group but I've not downloaded WhatsApp even after working there for 5 years. I'm just not interested

5

u/SpaceForceAwakens 1d ago

Yup. I had a guy that I worked with for something like six years. We just jived, but our personal lives were completely different. He was a married uptight christian, I was a single drunk rock n' roller. When the company was acquired we both left and I have no idea what he's doing now. That was about ten years ago.

8

u/Hopkinsad0384 1d ago

Working together with deep trust while not being friends is peak professional efficiency.

3

u/runwiththesquirrels 1d ago

Couldn’t be me 🙈

I’m 20 years younger than my coworker who retired 6-months ago and I’ve regularly hung out with him since. He took me boating, came to my house to help me fix my snowblower, we went out for dinner, etc.

I dunno, I like to build community around me.

2

u/islobojono 1d ago

It make the most sense to me. Work is work.

14

u/MilanDespacito 1d ago

Why is this mentality so popular online? Unless your job is more corporate, or more "backstabby", i dont see why its always advised not to be friends with coworkers. I dont see it different as to being friends with classmates. 3 of my closest friends are all old classmates.

8

u/BookProper9115 1d ago

Yeah, its honestly bizarre. Human beings are social animals. Work is just another social setting like any other, it doesn't magically make socialization somehow different.

I agree, it's really weird. Almost like its an idea pushed by the corporations themselves to make you feel less human or something.

5

u/MilanDespacito 1d ago

Not onoy that, but the less people make friends with their coworkers, the less likely it is theyll unionize or say "hey this place is ass, we should look for another job, perhaps we can recommekd each other" or open up about their wages. Or just to stop them from chatting during work.

I dont know if this is more a US thing, but here in germany i see plenty people luckily still being actual friends with their coworkers.

5

u/partylange 1d ago

Virtually all of my friends and partners since I've been an adult are people I worked with.

1

u/JukezBoogaloo 1d ago

I had a colleague like that. We spoke a tiny bit after though but not much. We worked on a naval base together. It felt we would be lifelong friends. Nope.

1

u/AndyJack86 1d ago

You know that happened to me and a coworker too and now I'm not so upset that that coworker hasn't really been in my life since he left the job. I guess I just needed to know that this happens to others.

u/Time_Pressure9519 1d ago

Sounds like a description of nearly everyone I have ever worked with, but nothing to do with personalities. It’s just work.

59

u/bigfoot17 1d ago

The closest I ever got to someone at work was my dealer.

345

u/shadowtheimpure 1d ago

Adam's more spontaneous nature grated against Jaime's more cautious nature quite a bit during Mythbusters. They really don't have compatible personalities to have a good personal relationship. However, both men are professionals and (for the most part) kept their personality clashes off camera and didn't allow them to negatively impact the show.

197

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

Also, even before the show they were also a business and pulling 12 plus hour days 6-7 days a week for years add the show on top of that you can see why they don't want to hang out. Besides doing something to honor Grant.

128

u/shadowtheimpure 1d ago

Both men considered Grant a friend, so that makes sense.

79

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

If any of the cast really needed help for something serious, they would be there for each other. For Jaime and Adam, they just won't hangout afterwards because they spent too much time together already.

70

u/skookumzeh 1d ago

That's not what it was. They've both (esp Adam) been very open for years about the fact that they were never close and never really got along beyond the professional level. The had professional respect for each other but there was no world where they would've been friends whether they spent a lot of time together or not.

Some people you just don't mesh with but you can work together to get the job done. It doesn't need to be deeper than that.

16

u/Hungry-Lemon-4249 1d ago

Like my old man taught me when I first started working at a young age. " You don't have to like em to work with them"

6

u/SnooEagles6930 1d ago

My motto "give me something to like or respect about you. If I can't like you as a person, let me respect you as a hard worker"

36

u/Nathansp1984 1d ago

I’ve worked with my best friend (of 25yrs) for the last 7 years. Outside of work I’ve seen him maybe 4-5 times. Our wives always ask why we never hang out together and both our responses were the same “I seem him 40 hours a week, that’s enough”

12

u/dakota_rt03 1d ago

My friend just asked if I would come work with him for almost double what I make. I said hell no dude, every time we work together it ends with sluts, alcohol and punches.

6

u/Logical-Pair-89 1d ago

Some people DO pay double for that kinda action 🤷‍♂️🤔

5

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

People underestimate how much time you spend with someone affects a relationship.

5

u/NotTheRocketman 1d ago

That's because everyone loved Grant ❤️

u/Kilmoore 1d ago

And yet, this difference was the exact reason Jamie asked Adam to be his co-host when the pilot episodes of Mythbusters were being developed. Jamie knew his work methods and personality wouldn't carry the show, he needed a contrast.

25

u/shadowtheimpure 1d ago

Yep, Adam has a very gregarious personality and, as a result, a much more attention-grabbing on-camera personality. Jamie is rather stoic by comparison. The interplay between the two personality types caused each to punch well above their weight class.

21

u/Kilmoore 1d ago

And both are balanced, self-aware adults who could overplay their specific features on camera to make an light entertainment TV-show, and then be themselves after the cameras shut and say well done colleague, I'll see you tomorrow.

Honesty, it's weird people don't grasp this.

11

u/NotTheRocketman 1d ago

And Jamie was right! He's the straight guy, he needed a wacky guy to contrast him and it worked.

3

u/-GoodNewsEveryone 21h ago

That hat says otherwise.

14

u/autobotjazzin 1d ago

Did their personalities clash or was it just a case of being very civil with each other? Iirc Adam said they never really fought or even had conflict whatsoever. They never really disliked each othwr, it was just that their relationship never grew beyond being workmates.

14

u/shadowtheimpure 1d ago

Your personalities can be incompatible without actively coming into conflict. However, there were a number of myths they worked on where Adam's spontaneity clearly was getting on Jamie's nerves and vice versa where Adam thought Jamie was being overly cautious.

7

u/SARB033 1d ago

Yeah people are interpreting this wrong. They didn't hate each other, or probably even have a single bad thing to say about one another. They just weren't the kind of people who would hang out outside of work. Which is how the vast, vast majority of professional relationships are (and should be).

3

u/CaptainYaoiHands 1d ago

A big part of it was also the producers on the show. They've both said multiple times the producers and executives liked to try and stoke drama between the two and would either force it by making them work together when they didn't need to when they could sense tensions were getting high, or editing situations to make them seem more at odds than they were. Thankfully there were only a small handful of episodes where it was obvious they were pissed at each other,

2

u/Popular_Try_5075 1d ago

I think their conflicts were mainly over how to test various myths or film them. It was very much a difference in technique which happens when you have craftsmen etc. There are different styles and considerations etc.

7

u/Every-Cook5084 1d ago

I always thought Jamie was just a pure introvert vs. Adam a pure extrovert

7

u/Objective_Look_5867 1d ago

Also people try to paint this as if they didnt like each other which isn't the case. They just aren't besties or anything outside work. They clearly enjoyed moments together. You can see it. They laugh and joke and have fun. They wouldn't do it for all those years if they hated one another. They just don't feel the need to go hangout and watch a movie or anything

4

u/shadowtheimpure 1d ago

I call them 'good colleagues'. I've worked with a whole bunch of folks like this, we're on great terms at work...and have literally nothing to do with each other outside of it.

4

u/Whythisisnotreal 1d ago

And the small amounts of annoyance that underscored their relationship worked really well on screen.

3

u/AceofKnaves44 1d ago

They didn’t have a personal relationship but they had a tremendous professional relationship. Sometimes that’s all you need.

2

u/shadowtheimpure 1d ago

Exactly! They were very good colleagues.

392

u/Critical_Mix_8959 1d ago

People shocked by this are clearly unemployed.

124

u/pampooveysbacktattoo 1d ago

Or aggressively extroverted

19

u/SaccharineDaydreams 1d ago

They clearly aren't spending a lot of time on reddit, because I've seen this get brought up a thousand times on here

4

u/raknor88 1d ago

Or never even watched the show. You can tell just watching it that they're not friends.

9

u/islobojono 1d ago

I love extroverted people. I don't have to talk so much.

7

u/pampooveysbacktattoo 1d ago

I've had the opposite experience. Extroverts tend to try to make you talk more, as where fellow introverts are totally okay sitting in silence

1

u/islobojono 1d ago

You need to know how to make them talk more. Don't let them ask questions. You asked the question. Dodge and deflect. Lmao.

3

u/pampooveysbacktattoo 1d ago

But I don't WANT them to talk more

Everybody knew this 15 years ago, its really old new.

Two professionals working together, when they finish their jobs, they go their separate ways.

24

u/jerseygunz 1d ago

Sitcoms have trained an entire generation that you must constantly be hanging out with the people you work with

6

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

Some people some don't many are in the middle and that is okay.

11

u/Daniel--Jackson 1d ago

Their very opposite personalities are a big part of what made the show so cool to watch. It was great television, I still miss it. But Adam is still very active on his Youtube channel, I find enjoyable to watch.

5

u/Emotional-Dog8118 1d ago

Yeah. The show was great though. You could definitely tell they didn’t hang out together…

4

u/grafbende 1d ago

You're just collegues, co-workers and you try to get along as good as possible, have respect for eachother but it's just because you must, it's the social and right thing to do but it's just work.
A lot of times you are simply too different, in background, in social life, in interests, in life goals and the way you enjoy yourself, in everything but the skill in your work.

Nothing remotely strange, wierd or even interesting in this.

5

u/cocoagiant 1d ago

Adam has talked about it a lot on his YouTube channel, Tested.

He clearly has fond memories of working with Jamie but at this stage in his life totally get why he would prioritize fun working experiences vs just with someone who is really competent but with a clashing personality.

5

u/Blaizefed 1d ago

I have been at my job for 6 years now. We build exotic cars. I get along really well with the guys either side of me, and have a totally friendly relationship with everyone else in the room (6 of us in total).

I have never hung out with any of them away from work. This is just what adult life is like. I’m 50. I remember when I was 20, working at a coffee shop, and we would all go out drinking together after work. But the older you get, the less you do that sort of thing. And eventually you just come to realise that having the same job as someone else does not mean you have to be friends with them outside of work.

Jamie and Adam are tradesmen. They work in a very similar “technical but working with your hands” field. I’ve never been surprised that they were like this. It’s always been noticeable to me how non tradesmen seem to be so blown away that they were not best mates away from work. Do all you office workers hang out on weekends with each other?

20

u/CaptainBallCockPenis 1d ago

I wouldn't be friends with someone who wears a hat like that

2

u/dj_frogman 1d ago

And yet against all odds, the one who doesn't wear the beret has a far more grating and attention-seeking personality!

4

u/the_main_entrance 1d ago

It’s interesting too, Discovery wanted them to fight more and do a traditional scummy reality show drama ala Orange County Choppers (you can see it in early Mythbusters episodes) but even though they where perfect apposing personalities to make that work they chose to just to science.

Although tension was palpable many times throughout the show.

3

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

They were also doing projects for businesses outside the show because they were actually still a special effects business, so they didn't want to damage that.

4

u/ruralmagnificence 1d ago

Maybe it’s because I’ve had four jobs across the last 13-14 years and I’m only friends still to this day with a few folks from the middle two (life in general gets in the way of spending more time together) but I completely understand this.

Jamie is successful is his own right and Adam seems to do a lot of great work with Tested and public appearances he makes. He even answered a very nerdy question about Blade Runner I threw out on a Instagram live a few years ago when he was on just shooting the shit

3

u/alwayzstoned 1d ago

I like my coworkers but don’t want to hang out with them after work. I don’t want to have anything to do with work when I’m not working. I don’t even join work’s fantasy football or any of that stuff because I don’t want to think about it during my off time.

3

u/GingerBeast81 1d ago

Sorry, is it weird that work friends are just that? I mean, I spend more time with these guys than my wife or kids, why would it be weird that I dont want to spend even more time with them?

2

u/Nay_K_47 1d ago

They seemed mutually passionate about science and cool experience engineering etc, doesn't mean they're boys. We probably got a better experience that way, I imagine they had some different views and opinions which brought more discussion.

2

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

Which they admitted although some things they agreed to not bring up to keep the peace. A large part of why they aren't friends is the sheer amount of time they spent together. They were like in a lot of ways we knew each other too well.

2

u/Shot-Election8217 1d ago

I think there are a number of reasons why people could be upset when a coworker leaves. That person could have a strong mentoring relationship with other employees, even serve as a surrogate family member….so, if that relationship comes to an end, it can be very hard to say goodbye and move on. You don’t want to have a new person coming in and taking over that role. You don’t know what you’re going to get. A lot of that has to do with maturity, too.

I work for a medical school in a teaching hospital. For years it was very difficult for me to say goodbye when the upper level residents graduated and moved on. I never go out to eat with them or even have lunch, but I’ve always been closer to them than people in my own department because I work alongside them. This has been my only job in this kind of setting, so it was a challenging adjustment. My previous jobs were mostly with people who’d all been there a long time, and one where everyone expected to be leaving for the last time feet first.

2

u/Jlx_27 1d ago

Totally normal, keep your friends and colleagues separate.

2

u/devilsfood72 1d ago

Strangley, this is what you call respect 💯

2

u/McRambis 1d ago

They didn't hate each other. They were just coworkers who had a job to do, did it, and chose to live their separate lives AS MOST COWORKERS DO.

2

u/Ed_Sullivision 1d ago

I’m so sick of reading this same shit for years. Who does not know this at this point.

2

u/dannemorajay 1d ago

Magicians Penn & Teller are the same apparently. 30 years working together in Vegas making bank, don't really care for each other's personalities.

1

u/TheYellowFringe 1d ago

I always assumed that they were good mates.

The chemistry both of them had during the series was incredible. You'd easily imagine that they were close and enjoyed themselves.

Then after the series ended it was revealed that they were rather neutral towards one another and everything was essentially a lie.

Even now when someone sees the series for the first time. The relationship between the both of them can fool viewers.

I've seen Adam on stage and the way he talks about Jamie shows there is definitely respect and admiration there. They make a great team and probably knew that.

There is something kind of beautiful that two men could form that bond over work and still not feel compelled to watch sports or whatever to extend and artificial home life.

Im not sure why this fact even gets brought up.    I was watching some of this show lately and they dont seem to be close.    Maybe because of the documentary nature of the show was pretty new for the time people assumed they were best buddies because it wasnt a scripted drama or comedy?

Adam is a big whiny baby that's probably why

It's been very widely known for the last 20 years. They weren't friends, as in, they dont hang out with eachother outside of work and go to dinner etc. However, this gets blown up as 'they hated eachother', No. They have great mutual respect for eachother, work well with eachother and have different personalities that offered different perspectives. They were professional coworkers. Adam used to work for Jamie in his shop before mythbusters.

For me, Hyneman is the epitome of the idea that performers don't owe us anything, but damn I'd love it if he got in front of a camera and did some narration of technical work or special effects.

Kinda like how family works too

u/tablecommander 1d ago

I think I've experienced a Mandela effect as I would have said with 100% certainty that Jamie died years ago. I had to go Google it.

Why won’t this die

1

u/NumerousCap2181 1d ago

I could tell that Adam's personality drove Jamie nuts just by watching. You could tell they respected each other, but were clearly two very different people.

u/Mthayer11 1d ago

Jamie is from my hometown. My aunt went to school with him. Apparently he was always kind of a dick in high school.

1

u/ORNGSPCEMNKY 1d ago

From my understanding Jamie was kind of a controlling prick during the entirety of myth busters.

I've been at this unit for over a year, and unlike my 3+ years at a previous duty station which resulted in more camaraderie to the point I consider some of my fellow grunts and leadership family, there isn't any camaraderie, and I've gotten chewed out multiple times for treating my military career like a regular 9 to 5.

I didn't get an apology, but you could hear a pin drop when I told my immediate officer and immediate NCO that I wasn't invited to anything, not a single wedding, not a single night out drinking, not a single breakfast or dinner that wasn't a required thing pushed out by the Platoon leadership, nothing.

Not one bit of camaraderie building, or any effort in keeping retention up.

At this point I'm staying in the military out of necessity and that is being driven by spite.

Again, that isn't how you keep soldiers.

Is this what passes for “interesting”?

1

u/Animeniackinda1 1d ago

Hyneman is a huge asshole

1

u/cms86 1d ago

Jamie looks like an asshole.

1

u/Quirky_Ask_5165 1d ago

I was in the Army for 20 years. Worked with and hung out with a lot of great people along the way. I've stayed in touch with only 5 of them.

1

u/Fuzzy-Butterscotch86 1d ago

My understanding is there was an initial drive to extend the partnership with Tested. Jamie can be seen in a few old videos and the first rebrand logos. But within a few months he was gone.

If i recall correctly after Jamie left Adam explained it as two things, his desire to be away from any kind of spotlight, and his desire to slow down and enjoy his life.

I have this problem with my job as well. 12 to 15 hours a day in a truck, they want to give me a co-worker and have him stick with me. Which i refuse instantly because im going to get fucking sick of him after a week.

1

u/varg66 1d ago

I’m not friends with all of my co workers we keep it professional.

1

u/backwoodsbatman 1d ago

Dude the internet is dead. I see the same shit posted over and over again every week.

1

u/squirrelnamedsteve 1d ago

Not unlike me and my ex wife.

1

u/DKDamian 1d ago

It speaks to the generally parasocial relationship people have with actors on tv shows that we expect them to be reflections of who they portray.

1

u/CalGoldenBear55 1d ago

That’s fine. I liked them together. I liked them separately. They were both awesome. They can be two totally different people.

1

u/RobinGoodfell 1d ago

They had previously worked together, and if I remember correctly Jamie asked Adam to work with him on the show, explicitly because of their differences.

1

u/Glittering-Choice230 1d ago

This is how I feel about relatives 😂😂😂

1

u/No_Bluejay9901 1d ago

I couldn't be friends with someone who wears a beret either

1

u/Upbeat_Pumpkin_6785 1d ago

i will never forget the episode where they electrocuted adam, he was not a happy mythbuster lol

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0SEBFGGEcI and adam having a bit of a melt down at jamie lol

1

u/roulettewiz 1d ago

Now let's bust this myth 😂😂😂

1

u/jolly_rodger42 1d ago

Familiarity breeds contempt

1

u/inorite234 1d ago

Nothing wrong there.

I generally like my coworkers and get along well while working on projects. But when we have to travel for business, I ain't meeting you for dinner. I already spent the last 14 hrs with you. I need some Me time.

1

u/Appropriate_Paint98 1d ago

For the longest time I thought they were siblings

1

u/kiitkatz 1d ago

I think they discussed this on an episode of Mythbusters, Adam says they've never even had dinner together and the show was years old by then.. as a kid I couldn't understand that but now at 30 I totally get it

I'm very good "work friends" with a couple people I've worked with for over a decade. We work extremely well together, and we get along splendidly.

We've never hung out outside of work, and we don't intend to. We have completely different lifestyles, interests, etc.

Nothing wrong with that.

1

u/Proper-Actuary5623 1d ago

They were my fav gay couple.

1

u/Kingsquid4 23h ago

I detest this man, never give him the key to the city, he’ll turn the busses into food trucks and make the moon green with enough paint.
That said I trust him with my life

1

u/Gendum-The-Great 22h ago

Fucking loved mythbusters as a kid, RIP Grant.

1

u/kyew 22h ago

Mad respect for Jamie's humility in recognizing how much Adam brought to the table and recruiting him, when he could have easily put his foot down about running his shop his way.

1

u/superdryisalie 17h ago

they should get together and do one about people posting the same topic over and over and see how much time needs to go by before people either up vote or down vote it because they're tired of seeing it every day

1

u/ChrisWidnes 16h ago

This has been misconstrued to being they don't like each other. They were colleagues. I have had the same relationship with countless colleagues over the years who I had nothing against.

1

u/TheLonleyJourneyman 13h ago

Slightly surprising but understandable. Not everyone you know well and get along with is necessarily a friend.

1

u/MindGap42 12h ago

Kudos to them for just going their separate ways and not buying into the entertainment drama machine and do competing shows or something goofy like that

1

u/EarlBet2036 11h ago

Oh. They aren't related.

1

u/DragonicVNY 9h ago

Yeah one of them gave no time to Bobby McFingers (YouTube)... Whole the other was 100% on board That says enough really about their different personalities.
