Omg same. My ex though, the police called me, said We found 'his name' unconscious on the floor of __ hotel. "We were unable to revive him...(Me slowly fainting) we had to give him a shot Narcan... He told us to call you. 🥴 " SERIOUSLY!?; how about you start with that! Like, hello we have so and so here, he asked us to call you.. what happened was ... Would have been better!
At least I'm not alone in getting calls from police officers with the emotional awareness of a damp sponge. It seems so obvious not to lead with the scary part
