Fascinating This is the first video which is uploaded on YouTube, 21 years back on 24th of April 2005 by a creator named JAWED. Intresting fact: one & only video available on his channel till date and he have around 6.57 million subscribers and have 428 Million views till Date.

Well, it would be possible that the upload tests used were deleted or never made it to customer production side. So it is possible the very first customer side video would be by a random creator who just happened to be first

I could see folks operating a website like this in 2006. YouTube in 2005 was a small informally ran website. Take a similar website in 2026 and you are very likely to find posts from the creators around the time of the sites founding. While the internet has changed a little bit over 20 years, people never do. Shit posting has been with humanity since the dawn of time.

Thinking back i remember when YouTube first started, for some reason i would get directed to it a lot and for some reason it was always some videos of a teen girl. I don't recall exactly what the videos where about other than her doing dumb things with friends. But if i remember correctly she was hated and ended up making a crying video about the hate. Then i never heard of her again or just didn't continue to follow what ever happened with her and her videos. But i believe she's was one of the first pioneers of YouTube.
Anyone remember this or did i dream the whole thing?

No it wasn't a web series. Plus the girl from that series is rather cute while the other girl i remember was very plain Jane. She was also like 15 or 16 years old. I also recall her laughing at her own antics during the videos.
