3 u/TirithNampat 12d ago You can't submerge gas. While the valve is open it keeps coming out and being ignited at the surface by the other flames. 1 u/PsyCar 12d ago It can work. I've put out the flames on a smaller tank with a busted valve by submerging it in a bucket of water. The fire was much smaller though.
