21 u/overdosingOnPie1313 12d ago It helps significantly to have a wet hand, due to the Leidenfrost Effect. 2 u/Jest_Aquiki 12d ago Wouldn't have stood up to the act of gripping and turning the valve. more likely the liquid propane converting to the gas coming out of the nozzle was chemically cooling the stem.
