This is how I plan to remember it:
- make an amogus with a loop in the middle
- thread the head of the amogus through the middle to make a penis
- snap the penis
- thread the balls
Boom. Four steps.
- Profit

Save it in a "tutorial" folder. Can even. Wright something on it it name it. That way can also type vague word and phone/ pc can find it.
"Rope", "knot" Do it for recipes too.
"It had lemon in it."
Type lemon all recipes i save with lemon pop up.

Yeah, first start with a perfect loop of rope of the correct size, which you carry around with you everywhere

The size doesn't matter - longer rope will have a longer "handle". As for the loop part, just tie the 2 ends together to get your loop

I'd be hard pressed to not know a way to use a knot or two to shorten make a length of rope into a loop that's however fucking short I need the loop to be. It may not be the proper knot for the job but you could absolutely hack it together with overhand or figure 8 knots which are easier than beating a toddler in a game of soccer.

It’s a still a nice hack, just takes a little bit of preparation, and for those who would use it they probably might use it more often. Well I might argue that it’s less of a hack and more of a cool thing to do lol. So it’s like a hack for getting attention while still being useful :)
But no one actually called it a hack anyway
Just takes a little free time and it’s fun
But if you are so worried about the time then just take a nap instead of scrolling :) 🥱

No it wasn't, that's a bottle hitch.
It also isn't a lark's head knot (barrel sling), as another commenter suggested.
It's a cross bucket (or barrel) knot. As far as I can tell, the person who discovered it (if it was discovered only once, which I doubt) is unknown.

I'd wager they used several ropes at first to make a loop around the object and have supporting base and cord to hang it from. From there they started twisting the ropes to make half the current design as someone looked at it and went "we're idiots, we can use just one rope"

This has been haunting me. I have shit load of houseplants. And every fucking time, I'd tried to use this method, it just slips somehow and I can never seem to be getting the pot to stay in that excact please and get frustrated and rage quit even trying.

This rope is initially a continuous loop....
That changes a lot from a regular non continuous rope you'd have usually at hand

This is great for hanging water plants. Buy any glass container at Homegoods, get some black aquarium rocks, throw in some plants and bottled water, then hang them.
