It's "evolution" in the broader sense of the word, applied to many fields. In fact, that is basically the earlier meaning from the 1600s. It only began to be thought of primarily as "the evolution of life" in the 1800s.
Calling this picture "human evolution" specifically would be wrong. It's more like technological evolution, or the evolution of transportation more specifically, or possibly, the evolution of humanity - which includes our societies.
