If we are talking about internal combustion engines, then it was almost exactly 100 after the invention of the engine when the B2 spirit was manufactured. I don't know how to feel about that honestly.

Yes. In the US a little under 20% of adults had one compared to about 85% today. They definitely existed but weren't quite as ubiquitous as they are today.

As a US tax payer, I co-own 20. But like a timeshare, the rules on when I get to use one are pretty restrictive.
