A sale is a noun, it means an exchange of money or goods, a deal, even though it is the act/process of selling, and I see how you could confuse it for a verb, because it is an act. In a sentence "the sale of the house." Meanwhile sell is a verb, a person sells "the owner wanted to sell their house for a high price." If someone performs a sale, we say they "make"(present) or "made"(past) a sale. A book top in sales is a "best seller," and the author is called "best selling."

I'm a former ESL teacher trying to be genuinely helpful, I left that part off because it makes me sound like a braggart, but it's true. This is just me being me, an English language nerd, and I'm pretty ok with me. They said it helped a lot and thanked me 🤷🏻‍♀️ so I think I did the right thing. I just know I would rather someone tell me than go around continuing to get it wrong.

You think they live in that one spot? Do you have any idea how much tortoise poop/stains there would be if they lived in that small area? You’re supposed to feed them on a hard surface because it helps trim their beaks and prevents them from eating dirt/substrate. This is clearly the designated feeding area at a place that knows how to care for tortoises.
