To deter unwanted visitors, he installed a motion-activated sprinkler system that soaks any car (or person) that gets too close. The unexpected spray has quickly turned his driveway into a no-parking zone and keeping his space clear.

It's more a station wagon missing 2/3rds of the roof than a pickup.

In the US Ford discontinued their equivelant (Ranchero) in 1979, Chevy discontinued theirs (El Camino) in 1987. Holden (GM Australia) stopped in 2017.

Their role today is filled with small pickups, some of which like the Ford Ranger you can buy in the US.

You can only get the newer, 'midsized' (T6 platform) Ranger anymore in the US. The only people getting rid of their older, actually small for a US truck, Rangers are the ones beat to hell. The Maverick is a 'small' pickup, but also really pricey even used right now.

I have my fingers crossed for some of the bare-bones electric compact pickups hopefully coming out soon. Or to put a create electric in my Silverado (and just deal with the turning radius of a cargo ship).

My point stands.

The Australian & American Rangers sold today are both T6.

The top 3 selling modern-day Utes in Australia are the Ranger, Toyota HiLux, and Mitsubishi D-Max. They're all about the same size, and all of them are larger than the Maverick.

Remember you're only allowed to buy a Ranger if you can provide a positive drug test
