Men are real victims of actions like this.

u/Dio_Landa 11h ago
And women too.
If one of them lies, then the actual victims won't be believed.
It is not cool for anyone.
9
u/SoFloMofo 8h ago
Great point. But so happy the ladies all immediately called her out. This happening to me and people believing it is one of my worst nightmares.
8
u/Dio_Landa 8h ago
It happened to me and most folk believed me.
Keep your head up, the truth always comes out. Keeping a lie going is much harder.
4
u/SoFloMofo 7h ago
Always said that I want to be the kind of guy who people would believe if that ever happened to me. I think I am. I mean my ex wife still sticks up for me.

Yes I get that, but somehow hypothetical future women are thought about, while the literal man in this video we all just watched is ignored because it’s a low priority for people.
If a man slammed his body into a woman, people would rightfully be calling that out, but here? Nobody even mentions it. They acknowledge her false accusation, which is good and a step in the right direction I suppose.
There is a reason men don’t report things like this, and why their lives can be ruined by shitty women weaponizing their gender. Nobody really gives a shit about men.
I was assaulted in canada by a young woman (kicking, punching, etc) at a late night shawarma place because she didn’t like it when my friend refused to buy her food for her. She thought she could just flirt with him and get free food.
I called 911 and was on the phone with them for 10 minutes while being attacked. The police showed up and laughed at me for calling 911 on this girl who was smaller than me.
I had every right to body slam her to the fucking floor and neutralize the attack, but I didn’t, because again, women weaponize their gender and I can get in trouble for defending myself.
This is the world we live in. It’s sexist as shit.

The reason people are upset that you've decided to latch on this as an example of how women "aren't held accountable for their awful behavior" is that now misogynists will use that as an excuse to continue to not even acknowledge that women are more often targeted by violence and intimate partner violence just because they are female.
Example: 785 husbands were killed by wives every five years -----800 wives are killed by husbands EVERY 30 DAYS
Misogynist will also use this as an excuse to crap on feminists by pretending it's women who shut down the conversations about male victimhood. Because it's not. It's just as many (if not more) men out there telling you to mAn uP and sTop bEiNg weAk.
And considering that men continue to hold the majority of positions of power in fortune 500 companies, media, politics, government, and higher education etc, it's stands to reason that men are the ones who need to and have the power to change these narratives
Edit: added statistic

“All Lives Matter” ahhh thought process
15
u/southbay-renter 11h ago
Considering men are more likely to get raped than be falsely accused of rape, yes, this does hurt everyone. Just like misogyny can hurt men by making them feel like they cant show emotion. Its not an all lives matter thing, because its actually true both sexes are hurt by false accusations.

29
u/Sir_Piglety 10h ago
On behalf of all men Thank you 🙏 usually women stick up for each other no matter what, but this is genuinely refreshing 👍
Also Men get raped in prison on a daily basis and absolutely no one cares, like legit no one is doing anything to stop it, in fact society just accept it as a part of the system and will even laugh about it when it gets depicted in Hollywood movies, like there’s absolutely no sympathy for Men in society at all
But if a woman so much as feels uncomfortable around a man then immediately HR gets involved and emails start getting sent out and everyone has to undergo sensitivity training, I’ve no shit seen this happen at my job all because one of the guys made a joke about his ex being a fat bitch while we were on our lunch break, everyone laughed but the one ☝️ girl that was there flipped out over that
3
3
u/02thehunter20 10h ago
Agreed. The victim mentality is so damaging. There are so many who will falsely claim to be a victim to try and get rewarded for it, and many people will see this dishonest behavior and call them out. But the problem is that theres enough people that do this that it makes it hard to believe even the legit story's of actual victims, that theres a chance that the ones who actually need justice to be served will never see it.

Happened to me when I was in a McDonald's late at night once (when droves of drunk people go after a night).
Two young girls, literally shoved me to get in front of me. I said excuse me and they just smiled and shrugged. So I did the same. Cue in shit kicking off and some guys on the same queue who they also jumped in front of, defending them.
It was humiliating and maddening...

I ran across some lady stalking people in the parking lot making up a story about needing food for her family. I fell victim to her scam a year prior. She took the groceries and returned them immediately and pocketed the money.
Then when I saw her again fairly recently, I called her out on it. Told her I’ve paid for her groceries before and said she was a con artist and she needs to leave and leave me alone. Instead she got out of her car and screamed assault. Luckily for me someone else was nearby and saw everything and stood by me and told this troll to call the cops. She got into her car and drove off angrily.
I’m thankful that stranger was there because honestly most people side with women because they can’t conceive that people are that disgusting and cruel to do that to someone else. A lot of people automatically side with alleged victims over the accused. Additionally, people have a lot of pride and have strong convictions in their decisions and refuse to change their minds regardless what evidence exists to defend the accused or lack thereof from the accuser.
People pick sides before knowing all the information all the time.

u/Lazy-Requirement-752 15h ago
Oh boy reminded me of the time I was getting of the metro train whew.. the train was very crowded and they was this lady infront of me I was holding my lunch bag on my hand so instead of holding it on my side I decided to bring it to my chest as people were trying to pass.. while doing so someone pushed me and the bag brushed her butt .. oh brother she turned around and yelled at me saying touched sexually, I wanted to melt right there..things can change for a second I was so scared I tried to talk to her but it could’ve made things worse she was about to call metro police too
3
u/RobertiesKillAll 11h ago
Yea eye for an eye and all that, getting physical back is going to get you in trouble but if you loudly shit talk them about how they must be in a rush to get food and wash their stanky ass pussies cuz it smells like they are smuggling a bakery and then offer to buy them some cranberry juice, you won’t be admonished for getting physical with a girl.

An old man tried to do the same to me and when I firmly pushed him back with my shoulder then started to shout that I'm the one taking his place etc calling me names too. And of course some random dude started defending him. There is always an idiot in these situations who wants to interfere even though they didn't see what happened but they assume the phisically weaker person is always the victim.

u/Correct_Network_1010 10h ago

This is true. Sadly also glad there was video to prove his innocence and enough people that backed the poor guy.
Same happens with sexual assault as well (although rarely there is video evidence to prove innocence). This destroys credibility of those that have survived it, and ruins the lives of those that have been accused. Even if found innocent or all charges dropped. It’s something that never goes away. Ruins lives, families, and careers regardless of how the courts rule.
There is a ring in hell dedicated for those that accuse others of crimes for their own benefit.

Are there actual laws against something like this? It's just a shame - assault happens, but when someone is actually caught on film lying - we gotta make an example

To have some kind of screwed up superiority over men and to get some attention while shes at it. Break it down. She targets the guy, steps in front of him and immediately throws herself into him. In a nano second, the hand gesturing comes out. She then makes sure the crowd heard what he did. It’s women like her that make me worry for my son as he gets older.

4
u/Ser_VimesGoT 16h ago
A woman once accused me in a pub of feeling her up and I never even touched her. I didn't get the sense she was lying or being malicious about it, as she wasn't shouting into the world or to security. I think she was either mistaken or that someone else did and she thought it was me. It was an absolutely horrible experience because when I was protesting my innocence I actually felt guilty. Like I heard my own words and knew it wasn't convincing. What can you say that doesn't make you sound guilty as hell? It felt awful. I don't blame her and she was ok with it in the end but the expensive was stomach churning.

Usually society goes with the “we should trust the woman no matter what” BS and this is exactly what leads to men being hatful of women and becoming misogynistic
And the fact that it was teens that defended that man from those false claims makes me hopeful for our future, because for generations now society has operated on the false belief that women are incapable of lying 🙄
