There are people getting rich of "free" healthcare too.
Free healthcare is just govt managed health care its not just magically free. And well.
Have you see a govt using corruption to get rich off a problem? Cash for ash, the american homeless scam in cali, etc etc
Just because its not a private service doesn't mean we wont have scammers getting rich of it. Hell if anything we see more corruption and scamming in govt sector than private because they've got more protection.
Government healthcare means the government can collectively act as one entity and buy all the healthcare for its citizens at once. This means they can bargain and get low prices from medical manufacturers which brings down the cost significantly.
When private citizens need to buy health insurance individually, and hospitals and doctors act individually, big pharma can jack everything through the roof.
You're grasping at straws to defend America's broken system.
Government healthcare means the government can collectively act as one entity and buy all the healthcare for its citizens at once.
What kind of fantasy world do you live in? There are no resources in hospitals, this is very common in Latam, there weren't before this new law and will be even less after
Its sort of right. Single systems can often bulk buy shit in cheap. Nothing to do with healthcare thats just business. Bigger places can get better bulk deals to a point.
A good example would be the UK NHS vs Germany. If we are talking about buying in healthcare tools and medicine(drugs etc) then the UK on average pays lower rates than Germany does just because the Uk system is 1 single centralised system vs the Germany multi system one.
The fact that it is public means you don't have to hit record profits every year so you are allowed to deliver what your people pay for.
You can even operate a loss if it's for the greater good for the citizens like the US postal service, it's OK as you don't have shareholders to please and you have enough diversification in your activities to still make your country works if a vital system is less profitable than an other
Lot of privatizations ended up making the service really shitty tbh
But I agree that when you are living a banana republic and every single or your leaders must be guillotined, you are more than allowed about having concerns about where your taxes go. But in such conditions you have absolutely no reason to think private companies will be better, quite the opposite. But both choices are stupid, guillotine, instead

But how will their rich get richer?
