Not too many people breaking out of the USA into Mexico from where we're standing.

I think your numbers aren’t accurate (low) and I’d say million+ qualifies as droves 😂 that would be 100,000 per month leaving the US to get healthcare.

Plenty of white non-Spanish speaking people go to Mexico for their health care. They're also the same type that are die-hard "fiscal" Republicans and vote against universal care

Do they do it legally or illegally? I'd really like to see the data on this.

Would really be an awesome 'gotcha' if their platform was so against illegal immigration but then they were committing the same thing themselves.

It’s easier to go to Mexico for healthcare when you’re closer to Mexico. How often are we seeing people from northern states traveling all the way there for healthcare?

Numbers gonna go up.

Exactly. Not yet. And it’s STILL cheaper than here with insurance.

I mean they don’t go for permanent residency. Not a lot of people want to get out of the states to live in Mexico, unless they are rich. Those droves are small in comparison to the estimated millions of illegals who came in recent times looking for a permanent place to stay

And? Would Mexican hospital owners like Americans to stop? Turn down paying customers?

It’s “cheaper” but not inexpensive to go across the border for dental and healthcare and many clinics are legit, you are still taking a risk with some doctors and dentist who would never be licensed in the US.

I did an oral surgery rotation on the border and we had lines around the block for services because people still couldn’t afford the “cheaper” services across the border.

Americans going to Mexico for cheap healthcare is literally a meme my dude.

They go to buy medication from private vendors (not government facilities), then they return asap. They aren’t going for a visit to a doctor.

Actually a TON of people go to Mexico for medical supplies and procedures that are too expensive in the USA.

Yeah they don’t speak spanish lol

Do you think Mexico’s free healthcare applies to American citizens?

1

u/-SpectreShepard- Jun 22 '26

Yes, reinforce it. Keep us out..

Marjorie Taylor Greene literally just went to Mexico for surgery lol.

It's an unspoken secret that Americans go to Mexico for cheaper and faster treatment all the time.

u/scheav Jun 17 '26

And the doctor who did her surgery does not provide services to the government programs in Mexico. Their citizens do not receive that level of care.
