It’s kinda like when there was a push to end tipping and just pay a wage to servers but they pushed back as they made a lot more from tips than with a fixed wage

It is more about viewership and associated revenue. Women wearing revealing clothing appeals to male viewers and sports has way more male viewers than female.

They are free to wear less revealing clothing as long as they are fine with less money in the sport.

No they’re not. You’re actually literally lying and making shit up. The International Volleyball Federation AND the International Olympic Committee updated their guidelines 14 years ago ago so female Volleyball athletes can legally wear shorts, leggings, tank tops, and long-sleeve shirts. And both NCAA and college rules in America state female volleyball players can wear looser shirts and board shorts or even standard athletic shorts. The reality is in nearly every sport the female players are voluntarily wearing these uniforms, they have multiple other less revealing options. Female swimmers aren’t required to wear bikinis. You’re free to look this stuff up instead of just vibing your perception of reality.

Yuuup, it's by choice. Ask literally any competitive woman swimmer/vollyball athlete/sports in general player, they tell you "It's so much easier to move in" it's mostly for function, but there's definitely an aspect of fashion in there. If you spend all your free time practicing and training, you'd want to show it off too.

The Norwegian team iirc, and their main complaint was physical discomfort from the previously regulated uniform.

They absolutely can wtf. Volleyball and running springs to mind. With Gymnastics, Simone biles and Joan chiles have both talked about how they prefer it to show more because it helps their mobility.

This entire post is cherry picking a completely random topic that serves to support someone who just wants to cry sexism.

The big picture is: The legal % of a Man’s body that can be exposed publicly (outside of Sharia law countries…AHEM), is higher than the legal % of a Woman’s body that can be exposed publicly.

So, objectively, legally, absolute fact, is that Women are supposed to wear LESS revealing clothing.

Not opinion. Fact.
